According to the use of elevators

1.1 passenger elevator: the elevator designed for transporting passengers requires complete safety facilities and certain interior decoration.

1.2 cargo elevator: an elevator designed mainly for transporting goods, usually accompanied by people.

1.3 medical elevator: an elevator designed for transporting hospital beds, stretchers and medical vehicles. The cage is long and narrow.

1.4 sundry elevator: designed for library, office building, hotel to transport books, documents, food, etc.

1.5 sightseeing elevator: an elevator with transparent cage wall for sightseeing.

1.6 vehicle elevator: an elevator used to transport vehicles.

1.7 ship elevator: an elevator used on a ship.

1.8 construction elevator: elevator for construction and maintenance.

1.9 other types of elevators: in addition to the above commonly used elevators, there are also some special purpose elevators, such as refrigerator elevators, explosion-proof elevators, mine elevators, power station elevators, fireman elevators, etc.

2 classification according to elevator drive mode

2.1 ac elevator: an elevator that USES an ac induction motor as the driving force.According to the dragging method can be divided into ac single speed, ac double speed, ac regulating voltage speed, ac variable voltage frequency speed.

2.2 dc elevator: an elevator driven by a dc motor. The rated speed of this kind of elevator is generally above 2.00m/s.

2.3 hydraulic elevator: an elevator that generally USES an electric pump to drive liquid flow and the car is lifted and lowered by a plunger.

2.4 pinion and rack elevator: the guide rail is processed into a rack, the cage is loaded with gear meshing with the rack, and the motor drives the gear to rotate the elevator to lift the cage.

2.5 screw elevator: an elevator in which the plunger of a straight-top elevator is processed into a rectangular thread and a large nut with thrust bearing is installed on the top of the oil cylinder. Then the motor drives the nut to rotate through the reducer (or belt) to make the screw lift the car up or down.

2.6 elevator driven by linear motor: the power source is linear motor.

3 classification by elevator speed

3.1 low speed elevator: usually refers to the elevator with a speed of less than 1.00m/s.

3.2 medium speed elevator: usually refers to the elevator with a speed of 1.00 ~ 2.00m/s.

3.3 high speed elevator: usually refers to the elevator whose speed is greater than 2.00m/s.

3.4 ultra-high speed: elevators with speed exceeding 5.00m/s.

According to whether the elevator has driver or not

4.1 elevator with driver: the operation mode of the elevator is controlled by the full-time driver.

4.2 driverless elevator: passengers enter the elevator car, press the button to go to the floor on the control panel, and the elevator will automatically run to the destination floor. Such elevators generally have the function of collection.

4.3 with/without driver elevator: this kind of elevator can change the control circuit, usually by the passenger control, if the passenger flow is large or necessary by the driver control
